The Association for Linguistic and Cultural AI was founded in 2010, born from a simple observation: as artificial intelligence began to reshape how the world communicates and learns, too many languages, cultures, and communities were being left out of that conversation.
What started as a small group of linguists and technologists asking hard questions has grown into an international, multidisciplinary organization dedicated to advancing the relationship between language, culture, education, and artificial intelligence.
More than a decade later, that founding question still drives everything we do. We serve as a global platform where experts and communities come together — not to talk about inclusion from the outside, but to build it from within.
